—The men’s golf team just completed their second tournament of the fall season and after an impressive freshman season, Norman Xiong is off to an even better start this season. He took the top spot outright for the first time in his Oregon career.

— The women’s golf team took 12th place at the Windy City Collegiate in Chicago, Illinois. The Ducks had to play with just four golfers after senior Kelsey Ulep suffered an injury during the first round of play and had to withdraw.

— Oregon’s Akihiro Tanaka and Thomas Laurent fell short in Monday’s qualifying matches of the ITA All-American Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

— Oregon football defensive line coach Joe Salave’a who spent the last five seasons coaching at Washington State, so he spent Wednesday discussing what he sees from the Cougars. Oregon and No. 11 Washington State kickoff at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
