Theaters have closed their doors due to COVID-19 regulations. The independent cinemas near the UO and OSU campuses are struggling to get by.
We crafted a meme contest for those who need a little humor in welcoming the New Year after whatever 2020 was!
How to enter:
Step One: Create a meme that represents a theme from 2020 in connection to and welcoming the New Year of 2021. Examples may be anything from pop culture, media and the news, to the Ducks!
Step Two: Post your meme on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter by tagging @dailyemerald and #dailyeJanuary (Post must include hashtag in order to be counted)
At the end of the month, submitted appropriate memes will be posted on the @dailyemerald Instagram.
The meme that receives the most likes within 24 hours will be announced the winner and receive TWO $25 gift cards of their choice from Barre 3, Eugene's Flower Home, Hacienda Amigo Mio, Harlequin Beads, or Injoy Wellness Massage.
