Some of the items you hauled all the way to Eugene will sit pretty and collect dust throughout the year. But don’t worry, everyone else has them, too.

Surprisingly, the finger pad on your laptop actually works pretty well, so that wireless mouse you got will sit on your desk until you pack up in June.

While a good idea in theory, you will never use a laptop lock. Just don’t leave your computer unattended while at the library, always lock your bedroom door, and you’ll be set.

If your mini-fridge has a freezer, you’ll never use it because chances are it doesn’t work. As for the fridge itself, it will probably be used exclusively for weekend beverages.

With dorm food available most hours of the day, the silverware and dishes you brought will be used sparingly, so pack light.
