The job of an Emerald Videographer is to capture journalistic stories through visual and audible mediums. Responsibilities include recording video of newsworthy events, artistic and cultural activities, sports, community involvement around campus, editing video for the Daily Emerald website and creating content for the Daily Emerald social media accounts. The video desk is responsible for producing a minimum of 2 stand alone videos a week along with a video to compliment each cover story. 

Successful applicants will have experience filming on DSLR, experience with audio equipment, proficiency in Adobe Premiere, knowledge of standard journalistic interviewing practices and ethics, ability to work under deadlines and a self-starting attitude.

Videographers are expected to put in 4 to 8 hours of work per week along with required desk and all-staff meetings on Sundays, which usually run for 1 to 2 hours.
