Nominate an inspiring University of Oregon student to be one of this year’s 25 Ducks

What do Vic Atiyeh, Neil Goldschmidt, Robert Holmes, Paul Patterson, Julius Meier, Tom McCall and John Kitzhaber have in common? They all attended the University of Oregon long before they took a seat behind the governor’s desk in Salem.

Phil Knight was a sports reporter for the Oregon Daily Emerald, then went on to co-found a little company called Nike and finance multimillion-dollar sports facilities.

And before Ken Kesey toured the country with his Merry Pranksters, he also walked by 1222 E. 13th Ave. — the EMU — on the regular, just like you.

Or, you know, like somebody you’re going to nominate as one of this year’s 25 Ducks. That’s right: It’s that time again.

Every year, we ask the UO community to nominate 25 students who will change the world, much like the folks in the list above.

Whether they excel scholastically, athletically or in any number of extracurriculars or other endeavors, let us know who the UO’s next big movers and shakers are using the form below.

Nominations close Sunday, April 12 at 5 p.m.
