Tech: Notable news for Dec. 10 – Dec. 14

Gabe Newell, an employee of game developer-slash-digital publisher Valve spilled potential plans for building a PC to fit comfortably in your living room. This comes on the heels of Valve’s release of the “Big Picture mode” for their download service, Steam, which enables players to access all of their Steam friends and games through a more TV-friendly interface.

PBS Idea Channel has a great piece on what Hulk Hogan and Santa Claus have in common.

Last week, Ars Technica had a point-by-point breakdown comparing music services Rdio and Spotify on all the big features, to decide which is worth the premium membership.

Google maps is now available on the iPhone again. Personally, I’m thankful because Apple Maps still tries to send me to other planets.
