Academic film series kicks off in Lawrence Hall

The University Center for the Study of Women in Society will show the film: “The Purity Myth: The Virginity Movement’s War Against Women” in 177 Lawrence Hall on Oct. 3, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. @@
This event will begin its 2012-13 film series. A moderated discussion will follow the screening.
The film is based of Jessica Valenti’s book, “The Purity Myth: How America’s Obsession with Virginity Is Hurting Young Women.” @@
