Men's tennis begins dual-meet season in Washington

Oregon men’s tennis begins its 2011 dual-meet season with a pair of contests in Washington state.

The Ducks take on Eastern Washington at 4 p.m. Saturday, followed by a match against Gonzaga at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Oregon beat the Eagles, 7-0, and the Bulldogs, 5-2, in matches last season. Both contests took place in Eugene.

Two new freshmen have been added to the Ducks’ roster: Sam Bush of Washington, D.C., and Parker Kelley of Manhattan Beach, Calif. Bush and Kelley are among six underclassmen on the 2011 team.

Oregon finished 12-11 last season, its best record since 2002.
