Piibor hired as men's associate head coach
by Robert Husseman | Sports reporter
Jonas Piibor, a native of Sweden and a former tennis player for South Alabama and Indiana State, has been hired as men's tennis associate head coach, according to Nils Schyllander, Oregon director of tennis.
Piibor fills the void left by Bart Scott, who left Oregon to become an assistant coach at New Mexico.
Piibor played one year with South Alabama and three with Indiana State, reaching the NCAA team tournament all four years. He won the Missouri Valley Conference singles title in 2001, his senior year.
In 2005, Piibor returned to Indiana State as head coach of the Sycamores and maintained that position before coming to Eugene.
