Chad Hall to run for UC-Riverside next year
by Andrew Greif | Sports Editor |
Chad Hall, who won a national cross country championship in high school before coming to Oregon last year, has transferred to the University of California-Riverside, and will be immediately eligible to run cross country and track for the Highlanders.
Hall finished in 13th place in the NCAA West Region 5,000m with the Ducks in May. He redshirted his cross country season.
Hall, from Big Bear, Calif., will join a program that became a Division I program in 2001. The cross country team's 12th-place finish at West Regionals this year was its highest ever.
Hall had a highly decorated prep career in California, winning a state cross country title and finishing second on the track in the 3,200m both his junior and senior seasons.
