The Oregon men's golf team recorded a final round 366 at the 6,686 yard, par-71 Meadow Club in Fairfax, Calif., to finish ninth in the Pacific-10 Conference Championships.

Senior Joey Benedetti was the Ducks' top finisher, tying for 18th at 5-over 289. He shot an even-par 71 Wednesday.

Individually for Oregon, Derek Sipe tied for 24th at 292, Isaiah Telles tied for 27th at 293, Sean Maekawa tied for 32nd at 294 and Jack Dukeminier tied for 38th at 296.

The team and the individual races were decided in playoffs, with Arizona State defeating USC by two strokes on the first playoff hole to capture its first Pac-10 title since 2001 and its 11th conference crown overall.

California finished third at 1438, followed by UCLA (1439), Stanford (1444) and Arizona (1466). Washington led the Northwest schools in seventh with 1459 strokes, with Oregon State (1461), Oregon (1462) and Washington State (1502) behind.

In the individual race, Arizona's Creighton Honeck birdied the first playoff hole to defeat Kevin Chappell of UCLA by a stroke. Honeck had a final round of level par 71, while Chappell, the third round leader, was at 1-over 72. Both players finished the tournament at 3-under 281.

The Ducks now await their NCAA tournament fate. Bids for the three NCAA Regional tournaments will be announced on Monday.
