The Oregon men's tennis team was swept in its regular-season finale last weekend, when No. 32 Washington blanked the Ducks 7-0 in Seattle.

Oregon finished the season with a 11-14 record, and went 0-7 in its Pacific-10 Conference matches.

The Huskies (14-9, 2-5) ended a three-match losing steak with the shutout.

In the No. 1 singles match, Oregon's Marcos Verdasco forced Washington's Patrik Fischer to three sets (6-1, 2-6, 6-2) but Fischer prevailed, having played a third set for just the third time this season.

Oregon's Geoff Embry and Romeo Mortera won the No. 2 doubles set 8-6.

The two teams will next play when the Pac-10 championships begin on Thursday in Ojai, Calif.
