Graduate student places 22nd in marathon Trials

Oregon graduate student Sopagna Eap finished 22nd of 124 finishers at the women's marathon Olympic Trials in Boston on Sunday.
Eap, a Ph.D student in clinical psychology, had the 76th-fastest qualifying time going in according to the Trials Web site, but ran a personal best by four minutes, finishing in two hours, 40 minutes and 19 seconds.
The Team Eugene member was the first of five finishers from the state of Oregon.
2004 Olympic bronze medalist Deena Kastor won the race in 2:29:35.
