The No. 44-ranked Oregon women's golf team moved up three positions to finish in sixth place at the Indiana Invitational thanks to junior Cathryn Bristow's record final round of 65 yesterday.

Bristow (76-74-65-215) broke the Oregon single round record by two strokes and finished fourth as an individual in the tournament. Her seven-under par beat freshman teammate Kendra Little's record of 67 set last month in the UNLV Spring Rebel Invitational.

"I was really excited to play that well," Bristow said in a media release. "It helps to validate the hard work I've put in recently and over the years. I was able to hit my approach shots really close - a lot of them were within 10 feet. My putting was really good, and I was able to read the greens well, although I didn't have any long putts since I was hitting really long and accurate with my irons."

Bristow birdied five of the first nine holes and the 12th and 18th holes as well. She recorded pars the rest of the way.

"Yesterday, I was playing well but not scoring well, so I had confidence that I could change that today," Bristow said. "At the end I was starting to get a little nervous. I recognized that, and told myself to be relaxed and take one shot at a time."

Sophomore Felicia Eastick (74-76-77-227) and freshman Kendra Little ( 80-73-74-227) finished with identical scores and were tied for 24th place.

Other Ducks included sophomore Kate Hildahl (78-81-79-238) and junior Blair Ressler (78-82-87-247).

No. 6 Purdue won the event by 42 strokes at the par-72, 5,938-yard Crooked Stick Golf Course.
