No candidates have filed for eight positions in the upcoming ASUO elections and seven others have one candidate running unopposed.

Interested students can file until 5 p.m. Friday in the ASUO office in Suite 4 of the EMU. There will also be a mandatory candidate meeting on Friday at 6 p.m. in 100 Willamette.

The open positions include three Senate seats: one on the Programs Finance Committee, one representing journalism and education students and one representing architecture and allied arts students.

There are also at-large positions open on the PFC and the Athletic Department Finance Committee and three seats on and the Student Recreation Center Advisory Board.

Races with one candidate running unopposed include at-large seats on the PFC, the EMU Board of Directors and a seat on the Associated Students Presidential Advisory Council.

Senate seats representing business administration and science students, as well as seats on the EMU Board and the ADFC also have unopposed candidates.

Most positions offer a stipend.
