This is a primary reason, according to President Bush, why America was attacked on Sept. 11. Since then many regard this to be a fraudulent claim used only to rally the American people to war.

The ceremony, a major event for the entertainment industry and, therefore, for American culture, is now on the chopping block to be the next victim of the writers' strike.

	University would be better served without new arena Letter to the Editor Recently the Register-Guard and The Oregonian have editorialized in favor of Dave Frohnmayer's proposal to build a UO Nike Arena with $200 million in state funds. The Register-Guard has repeatedly suggested that Phil Knight's "legacy gift" of $100 million will be used as a financial "backstop.
