Frigid weather on January 10 brought with it an unexpected snow storm, and students took full advantage, playing a pick-up game of football on the intramural turf fields.

A civil rights leader stands in a NCAAP Rights Rally in Salem on October 2. Nearly 200 people marched the streets of Salem promoting civil rights and racial unity in Oregon. The rally was inspired by Darrell Sky Walker's conviction.

On November 7, the women's soccer team was shocked. Despite knocking off the number three team in the nation, the UCLA Bruins, Oregon still did not have a chance to move onto the NCAA tournament. On January 6, the Ducks men's basketball team had an amazing performance, beating No. 1 UCLA with a 68-66 victory. McArthur Court exploded with joy as hundreds of fans swarmed the team after the game.
