Ben Saunders, English professor on campus and guest curator of the Jordan Schnitzer Art Museum, provides background on the noteworthy pieces in the museum's latest exhibit, Art of the Superhero. The exhibit has been one of the most popular in the museum's history and, according to Saunders, has attracted a crowd that wouldn't ordinarily flock to museums.

I drove 9 hours from Canada to see this gallery and it was well worth it! Don't forget to see even more original comic book art (Spider-man and the Spirit) on the ground floor. Thank u to all the generous collectors who loaned their original drawings and paintings to this historic gathering in the Pacific Northwest.

The exhibit exposes people to how much more striking comic art is when you see the original pen and ink drawings. Thank you for the tantilizing tour and background.
